Leah and I started Saturday morning at Victor’s Salon where Lacey and the girls were getting ready for the big day. Lacey and Paul’s wedding would be an outdoor ceremony out in Carmen and we were all a bit nervous when the clouds gathered and it started raining in the morning. Luckily it cleared up by the time we reached Carmen and the ceremony was a go!
It was a beautiful day. The location was perfect – set in the garden, surrounded by trees and golden Canola fields. After the ceremony we headed out to a couple different spots around the area.
Lacey first mentioned to her Aunt that we were going to shoot out by her old barn and she was shocked saying that she didn’t want anybody to see it… LOL! She even wanted to paint the old peeling wooden fence. Luckily Lacey put a stop to that.
A stunning beauty against something so old and rugged always makes for great photos.
Paul, Lacey and their friends were great and made for a fun day out in the blazing sun. From the old barn, to the Canola field, the train tracks and old train cars – memories were made.
I often find that an adventure or a special day can only get put in the good memory archives a couple days after the event. It’s when you think back and remember the little things – that’s when a good day becomes a great one.
I feel so blessed that I am able to document and present some of these memories for couples to relive. I often redo my slideshows many times over. Only when I watch it and feel the true emotions from the day, the real memories and beauty, that you dare not blink for fear of missing a photo – only then will I post it.
I feel by watching these slideshows that I love Leah more. I appreciate that and will never take it for granted! Thank you to all our wonderful couples for giving me this job. For surrounding us with Love and new beginnings over and over and over…
Back to Lacey and Paul.
Congratulations! Your wedding was beautiful and I’m sure when you look back you will agree with me that it was the perfect day you were hoping for.
I also wanted to say thank you for adding so many great photos to my portfolio…
