Welcome to the Brand New Blog

Thank you to those who often visit our Blog and for all the lovely comments! We would not have been able to grow as fast as we are if not for all the support from great friends and clients!

Leah and I often talk about how lucky we have been in attracting really great people to our services.  We keep on meeting with people we would love to hang out with.  Normal people! We love that!

So it has almost been a year since we moved to Winnipeg. I still can’t believe I survived the WINTER!!!!  I am buying some extra Long John’s for the next one… LOL!

Being so close to our first anniversary in Winnipeg, Leah and I have been taking stock of blfStudios and where we are going.  We are both really happy with the way people have been accepting us and that we can be 100% ourselves with our clients!

We studied the “top photographers” in Winnipeg and feel very confident that we are on the right track! We now know that there is a market for our services.
A market for people who do not want to be bossed around by a photographer, being moved and pushed around to make the “perfect ” photo…
A market for people who would love a true refelction of the day – not posed / fake photos!

Leah and I will focus all our attention to always offer great memories, quality products and to always be “real”.

Enough of me reflecting… I can’t help it though. We are so excited for the future!

Back to the new Blog.  I will post the last images and video on here to keep it flowing from the last Blog.

As always you are more than welcome to post your comments. Once again thank you to all those who have helped us become one of the top wedding photographers in Winnipeg!

Leah and I did David & Lorraine’s wedding out in Manitou this last weekend. It was a great day and we enjoyed meeting so many wonderful people. Leah and I were surprised to find out that one of the guys in the Bridal party was actually the brother of one of our future Brides.

What a small world this is…

To add on to that I was able to speak my home language (Afrikaans) to some of the guests. They speak Flemish (Belgium) and it is very close to Dutch and Afrikaans. Nice! I really enjoyed that.

Leah and I want to thank David & Lorraine for their kindness and gentle manners when doing the photos with us on such a hot day. Here I was complaining about how cold the Manitoba summer has been, and then WHAM we have a 30C plus day. I think we all did a very good job out there in the oven. I loved being sweaty out in the sun for a change… (Should I say that? LOL!)

I am still editing the photos from the weekend, but wanted to post a couple to share with you.

I will be uploading a little teaser slide show as per usual later today or tomorrow. Remember to come back and check that out.

Enjoy
